Accra, Ghana — August 25, 2025 — Sinovcle, a leading Chinese automobile exporter and EV solutions provider, has entered into a strategic partnership with Ghanaian firm PKA Export and Import and Chinese technology company Polyrocks to establish a state-of-the-art electric vehicle (EV) assembly plant in Accra, Ghana.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed on August 20, 2025, marks a significant milestone in Sinovcle’s international expansion and underlines its commitment to supporting Africa’s transition to clean and sustainable mobility.
The new facility is scheduled to begin construction before the end of 2025 and will serve both the Ghanaian market and the wider West African region. Production targets are set at 5,000 vehicles in the first year, with a scale-up to 20,000 units annually in the coming years.
In addition to boosting industrial growth, the project is expected to create over 1,000 direct jobs and 2,000 indirect jobs. Sinovcle and its partners will implement comprehensive training programs to build local expertise, including certification for EV repair professionals, technician training, and specialized management development.
The collaboration also includes nationwide deployment of charging stations and service centers, ensuring accessibility and convenience for EV users, while creating opportunities for private investment in Ghana’s growing EV infrastructure sector.
“Ghana was chosen for its fast-growing economy, favorable investment climate, and promising automobile market,” said Zou Pinchun, Chairman of Sinovcle. “This marks our first factory in Africa, and we are confident that it will become a catalyst for green mobility, industrial development, and sustainable job creation.”
Prince Asare, Executive Chairman of PKA Export and Import, expressed enthusiasm about the project’s impact:
“This venture supports Ghana’s automobile development policy, strengthens bilateral trade relations, and positions Ghana as a future hub for EV manufacturing and exports.”
Guo Ping, General Manager of Polyrocks, highlighted the technology-driven focus of the initiative:
“Our collaboration will not only assemble electric vehicles but also introduce solar-powered and hydrogen-powered vehicle technologies, supported by training schools and service facilities to ensure long-term success.”
With this investment, Sinovcle reaffirms its mission to drive innovation, sustainability, and global cooperation in the automotive industry. The company looks forward to working closely with its partners and the government of Ghana to create a strong foundation for Africa’s clean mobility future.
